Today marked an important day for young women’s voices in Coláiste Muire as six students represented the school in the Local round of the Soroptimist International Public Speaking Competition in The Old Ground Hotel, Ennis. Elisha Rowland (TY), Mya O’Malley (5th Yr), Neila Ryan (5th yr), Bríd-Jean Walshe (TY), Eílís Strand (TY), and Lauren Meaney (TY) spoke with conviction, passion and commitment on topics ranging from the environment, friendship, education, and human rights!
Congratulations to all girls and especially to Mya O’Malley and Neila Ryan who were awarded winner and runner up, respectively! The future is bright with these young women steering us!
