Look into Law 2023

The Bar of Ireland’s Transition Year programme ‘Look into Law’ will return in 2023, this time they have two programmes on offer to schools around the country.

The Look into Law TY Programme has been reimagined as a blended offering with one week online and onsite for 100 students who are interested in learning about life as a barrister. It will take place between Monday 30th January and Friday 3rd February, with Wednesday and Thursday onsite. The online days will consist of live Zoom sessions with barristers and include breakout rooms and quizzes. The onsite days will consist of job shadowing and tours.

The Bar of Ireland only accept applications from a teacher in a school and not parents or students.

This year almost 300 schools applied for one of the 100 places on The Bar of Ireland’s Look into Law TY Programme and our school was randomly drawn in the lottery this week. Lucy Power TY1 was selected from our school to attend.

In addition, following the overwhelming success of the online version of Look into Law which was open to an unlimited number of students, The Bar of Ireland is delighted to introduce a brand new initiative entitled Look into Law – Bitesize.  Our school  has also registered for the Look into Law: Bitesize which will be available from January to May on demand for unlimited numbers of students and schools.
